Daniel's Recovery from Infant Leukemia

Daniel was born in August 2021 to loving parents Ashwin & Lisha and big brother David.

 

On May 16th, he was diagnosed with a rare condition called infant leukemia. Daniel was rushed to the hospital when his fever would not subside after seven days. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Sick Kids Hospital, and Daniel is on a high dosage of antibiotics and we wish him well on his current treatments.

 

The family is new to Canada with limited support and resources. Ashwin has taken time off work, and Lisha is on maternity leave.

 

Their friends are looking to help with financial support for Daniel and his family. The proceeds will:

• Cover travel expenses for parents coming in from India to help support the family

• Ongoing living expenses as both parents are inundated with supporting the decision making of Daniel's wellbeing

• Ongoing daycare expenses for David as the family works through this tragedy
