The Jared Box project is a local organization with a mission to entertain and put a smile on the faces of children that are in the hospital. Jared McMullen was diagnosed with a brainstem tumor in 1999 and brought a backpack full of toys and games to all of his appointments which he would share with other children during their treatments. When Jared’s battle ended in 2000, his fellow classmates honored him by creating toy boxes for the children’s hospital. This one-time project grew into a nonprofit that has been creating toy boxes for the last 20+ years! 

As a team, we will be making these boxes that include toys, crayons, coloring books, stickers, scrunchies, handwritten notes and cards, and much more! We are looking for donations and anything that will be left over will go towards this nonprofit so that they can continue to share Jared’s joy with other children! Thank you so much and Go State!!
