Support Terry's Journey to Health and Hope

After a great deal of convincing, we are putting together this “Go Fund Me” for Terry Nelson and his family to help ease the financial burden that they’re facing on this journey of kicking cancers butt. On September 11th, Terry went to his chiropractor for pain management and was told they thought he had an aortic aneurism. Following an ER visit that day, Terry found out that he had cancer. Not just any cancer, but stage 4 prostate cancer that had metastasized to his bones and lymph nodes. Due to the stage of illness, Terry will begin the first of many rounds of chemotherapy immediately. In order to keep his health insurance, (and because he is stubborn as heck), he is trying to stay working while undergoing this aggressive form of therapy.
If you know Terry, you know he is generous, funny, handy and did I mention stubborn?! He has been a loyal partner to Sandi for 13 years and together they have raised their granddaughter, Kensley Grace who is 10. Kensley is the apple of her grandpa’s eye, he is the superhero who saved her, they are as inseparable as two peas in a pod and partners in crime. Terry has three other granddaughters that he adores as well, Zoe, Oaklee, and Everlee whom all want their fun and silly grandpa better really soon.
It is unclear how long Terry will be able to continue to work and at this time, his insurance through is employer is not even authorizing the recommended course of treatment. We would like to help Terry raise the funds to help cover the 26k deductible & the cost of treatments if the insurance doesn’t meet those demands as well as provide some financial relief for him and his family while they navigate all of this while still raising Kensley. Terry is reluctant to accept Medicaid due to the potential of putting a lien on he and Sandi’s home. Terry is a selfless individual and his main concern in all of this has been to try to keep Kensley’s life “as is” which includes karate, cheerleading, and kids church.
We know everyone is on tight budgets these days with the world being so expensive so donations, prayers and shares all accepted and appreciated.
