I am starting this fundraiser for my dad. This is a small story from him.

My wife and I have been together nearly 37 years and have faced many obsticals along the way. We were care aids for my grandmother for over a year and both my parents in our home for over 12 years until they passed away. All three of them had alzheimers as well as other age related issues . In 2012 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and was treated very quickly and in 2022 I was told I was cancer free. Well then along came 2025 and February 27th my wife was having heart trouble that put her in hospital , two weeks in she had a reaction to her meds that shut down her kidneys so off to ICU intabated and dialysis was done for two weeks. She was moved up to the heart ward after about a week in ICU. She ended up getting the flu , a blood infection , a bladder infection , pneumonia , and C-Diff four times . She did get her surgery which consisted of an aortic valve replacement , cleared a blockage , added a stent , and a single bypass . She has come through that ok so far other than all the infections she had post op have caused a hole in the new aortic valve . They were hoping to repair it without open heart surgery again but the hole is too large so open heart is is . We are waiting for them to decide when they will be able to do it sometime in the spring of 2026. She no sooner was released from the hospital when I started having some issues that DR,s were trying to sort out what was happening .Well I got the news on the 4th of December that I have esophageal cancer they feel it is in early stage and surgery is an option . This means months of recovery time and has affected my ability to earn a living . My son and I run a small father son Landscaping business that normally can do well but with my wife in hospital from late February to late September it was hard to work and be there for her so I was unable to put my winter nest egg together like normal and now I will be unable to work for months till things heal.
