One Down, One to Go:
It’s been eight months since Trixie’s first knee replacement, and she is scheduled to undergo surgery for the replacement of her left knee in September.
With your help, in June of 2020 Trixie can get back to doing what she does best – the creation of masterful works in metal, and the education of future top-tier welders.
What Happened?
Over three decades of doing intense physical labor led to Trixie’s excruciating knee pain. Her doctors advised her to replace both knees so that the pain could be reduced, and she could get back to work.
What is the Average Cost of Knee Replacement in U.S.?
Average costs for hospitalization, surgery, and recovery range from
$16,500 to $33,000.
Trixie is presently on disability and has only been able to afford minimal health insurance. She is asking the community to help her cover her exorbitant medical costs, and also her costs of living so that she can 100% focus on getting back to work as soon as possible.
