Just recently I have had an accident with my knee. The meniscus which helps support the knee has been severely fractured and broken off. This is now preventing me to extend my leg completely, put weight on it or even walk normally. I now require an operation to remove the broken meniscus and repair a small ligament. The operation will be 3100€ ($4800AUD)

As many of you know I am currently in Spain and have been unable to fly home to Australia in this current climate. I made 3 bookings during last year however ALL of them were cancelled on me. I lost quite a lot of money with some airlines refusing refunds. (I am still working on the returns with great difficulty)  It is so hard to come home during this pandemic. Now, with the prices of flights between $5000-$15000 and mandatory hotel quarantine $3000, I am in a very hard situation financially. Let alone obtaining a single flight. With airlines capping number drastically.

Now suddenly I need to have an operation here in Spain in which I can not afford. I am unable to walk. I feel very lost and scared and have no idea what to do.  I hate to be a burden on anyone and I absolutely hate asking for help from the other people as I have always been so independent. However, the time has come to this.

I will  be forever grateful for any donation. I certainly don’t expect anything from anyone. I am just in a hard place at this moment in time.
