It is with a heavy heart that I write to you today. In February, my beloved father passed away, leaving an irreplaceable void in our lives. His loss has not only brought immense emotional pain but has also placed my mother and me under severe financial strain.

Since his passing, my mother and I have been doing our best to cope, but the financial pressures—especially related to our home loan—have become incredibly overwhelming. My father used to assist me at times with the loan repayments, but now I find myself unable to manage them alone.

After countless sleepless nights and desperate calculations, I made the

heartbreaking decision to sell our apartment. But even that lifeline has crumbled.

The building has serious structural damage. And the builder? Gone into liquidation.

The result? The property has plummeted in value — and I still owe the bank over

$60,000 more than what the apartment is even worth.

I’ve looked into a payment plan with the bank, but was advised that doing so would damage my credit score and prevent me from accessing any future loans for the next seven years. This has left me with very few options and a deep sense of helplessness.
