A 22-year-old Aspire client of ours is a strong and resilient single mom who has fought through more challenges than most face in a lifetime. After aging out of foster care at just 18, she built her life from the ground up with determination, kindness, and an unshakable work ethic.
As a licensed CNA and in-home health care aide, she is the kind of caregiver everyone hopes to have. She's gentle, dependable, and endlessly devoted. At work, she always puts her patients first, and at home, she pours that same love into raising her 2-year-old son. She also graduated from college with an associates degree a couple of years ago as well, a feat that less than 3% of foster youth achieve.
Recently, she was abruptly let go from her job due to budget cuts through no fault of her own. Despite acting quickly to secure a new position, the unexpected gap in income left her behind on rent. She is now $385 short for November, and without immediate help, she will receive an eviction notice tomorrow, 11/14/25.
Her and her little boy are at real risk of homelessness. For someone who has spent her life taking care of others, she now needs help herself.
If you are able, even the smallest contribution will make a meaningful difference. Let’s show her and her son that they are not alone and that community can lift them up in their moment of need.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading and for any support you can give.
