Hi family and friends, I'm Angel. Or y'all may know me as SMILEY. I have been dealing with some health issues for some time now due to diabetes. But the one that has affected me the most was 3 years ago i got diagnosed with Charcot's foot. Something that is not curable but could have been prevented or made comfortable for as long as posible. Charcot's foot is where the ankle bones become soft and porous and start bending and breaking . For 3 years we have been trying to fix it and pray for the best recovery possible. Whent through 3 surgeries and long recoveries with crazy pain and good days and bad. Downtimes had me develop anxiety and depression. I been fighting and praying and keeping as positive as much as i can but days come that i just wanted to throw in the towel. We'll recently doctor's had been told me that there is not much more they could do to save my leg so that either i could choose to keep on trying more surgeries and pain and downtimes to still end up with an amputated leg. Or get it over with one single surgery and one downtime get a prosthetic leg and continue living life. So to preserve my well being i had to make the hard decision and go through with the amputation. BKA (below the knee amputation) Saturday March the 25th i had it. It was rough it's been rough pain is there mentally and physically. I still can't bare to see my leg with out breaking down in teras. I have been in the hospital a week already and awaiting insurance to approve a transfer to a rehab center. Not only is this effecting me emotionally but income wise also. My insurance does not cover a lot of all this and medicines or hardware that i will be needing. So family and friends i ask for your help. Anything counts towards my recovery and getting me back on track back to walking back to living life and moving forward. Money will go to medicine hardware and bills that have to be taken care of while in my down time. I want to thank everyone in advance for your prayers love and support. From me and my family to yours God bless you all
