Help Ryan Evans on His Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On March 13th, Ryan Evans, 22, went to the hospital after feeling unwell for a few days. By Tuesday, his health had declined dramatically, he was life-flighted to another hospital, where doctors discovered he was in severe septic shock, and his organs had already begun to fail.
Three days later, Ryan was moved to the ICU, where he remained until April 2nd, fighting through an uphill battle of medical complications. Doctors uncovered multiple issues—some pre-existing, others caused by this illness. He required a temporary pacemaker before undergoing open-heart surgery to address a congenital heart issue and a valve replacement. Additionally, his aortic wall had begun to thicken and required urgent repair.
His kidneys also failed to restart on their own, leading to ongoing dialysis treatment. While Ryan is making progress, his journey is far from over. He continues to endure a series of tests, procedures, and rehabilitation, with many uncertainties ahead.
Ryan, a Dalton, PA native, attended Lackawanna Trail kindergarten through seventh grade, Our Lady of Peace for eighth grade, and Holy Cross High School in Dunmore. He is currently in his final semester at Marywood University studying criminal justice, set to graduate in May. A dedicated and hardworking entrepreneur, he owns and operates Ryan Evans Outdoor Services, with a bright future ahead of him.
Throughout this difficult time, Ryan’s parents, Deb and Phil, and his family, have been by his side, supporting him every step of the way. However, the financial burden of three-plus weeks already in the hospital, extensive medical care, hotel stays, travel expenses, and other unforeseen costs is overwhelming.
We are reaching out to our community to ask for your support—whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing this page. Every contribution will help ease the financial strain on Ryan and his family as he fights toward a full recovery. So many have already been very generous, and their support has been greatly appreciated.
Please consider donating and keeping Ryan in your thoughts. Let’s rally around him and his family to help him get back to the bright future that awaits him.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
