Degans Dream

Degan, whom is only 8 years old. Underwent an Open heart Surgery last week on Jan 16 2014. He has had Aortic Stenosis since birth. He had a ballooning of his valve in 2010 which helped buy him some time with that valve, but as a result the valve became moderately leaking. The Surgeon at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis did an amazing job of trying everything in his power to keep him going with his own tissue and repaired the valve so that a mechanical valve would not have to be used at this age, as this would have side effects of Blood thinners etc. It is not certain that the repair will work but our hopes are high and thoughts are positive.
Just at the age of 2 Degan started riding MX (dirtbikes). Degan shares the love of the sport with his twin brother Kaden, and his older twin brothers whom are 11 yrs old, Seth and Mason. Who knew he would fall in love with the sport and be a natural at everything he can accomplish on his bike? Degan loves everything about the sport and would be devistated if not able to be associated with it in some way. He takes pride in his clothes, hair, and equipment that he wears when on or off the bike.
Degan is the strongest 8 year old i know. He has a positive outlook on everything and looks at the good in every situation. He recieves great support from his twin and older brothers (when not fighting, like brothers do). Hahaha.
Please help in getting this little Grom back on his bike and to buy the best equipment out there to protect that heart of his. His goal is to qualify for Loretta Lynne's race by next year (granted he is cleared by doctors). To do so, he would need a new dirtbike, proper equipment and enough money to cover entry fees, and all other costs envolved with the race and journey to get there. If for some reason he would be unable to race, we at least what him to be able to be a spectator, and let him chose an activity of his dreams.
This little guy has endured so much,and inspired those whom love him. Lets Try and get this little Grom back on his bike and do what he loves to do.
