Hi, my name is Brittany, and I created this GoFundMe on behalf of the newest and sweetest addition to our family—sweet baby Evelyn

Evelyn just turned one month old. After not gaining weight as expected and a doctor hearing a heart murmur at her appointment, she was referred to Nemours Children’s Hospital for further evaluation. At that visit, her parents received the heartbreaking news that Evelyn has a congenital heart defect that requires immediate medical attention and, eventually, open-heart surgery.

Evelyn is currently in the Cardiac ICU , receiving incredible care while surrounded by the love and support of her parents. Her days are filled with medications, therapies, and routine feedings as the medical team works to help her grow stronger and more stable. The hope is that she will be able to go home until her planned surgery at around six months old.

I created this account to help surround Evelyn’s parents, Kaley and Chad, with love and support as they navigate the months ahead. Becoming first-time parents is both exciting and stressful, but they are facing challenges far beyond what most new parents ever imagine. Our hope is to ease some of the financial burden so they can focus fully on caring for their sweet baby girl.
