Hi,

My name is Whitney Langdale and I’m raising money for Juliana Grace.

Juliana Grace is a beautiful 8 year old that loves to draw, sing and play. She makes friends EVERYWHERE she goes, and she loves being a big sister.

Unfortunately in 2021 she became ill and every parent’s fear became a reality for my friend when it was confirmed that Juliana Grace has been diagnosed with a very rare cancer. Atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor (ATRT) is a rare and fast-growing cancerous tumor of the brain and spinal cord. About half of these tumors begin in the cerebellum or brain stem:

•The cerebellum, located at the base of the brain, controls movement, balance and posture.

•The brain stem controls breathing, heart rate and all the muscles used in seeing, hearing, walking, talking and eating.

Treatment depends on the size and location of the tumor as well as the patient’s age. Due to the aggressive nature of these tumors, most patients receive several types of treatment, which may include surgery, chemotherapy and radiation.

The most recent tumor is on her spinal cord, and has taken the use of her legs.

Juliana has already undergone brain surgery, stem cell transplant, chemotherapy, radiation, and much more, but she doesn’t let it get her down. She’s the strongest girl I’ve ever met.

She is currently undergoing radiation through the Stevenson Cancer Center and staying at OU children’s hospital.

Both parents are not expected to return to work anytime soon due to how aggressive this cancer truly is, as they need to remain by her side. I am asking for your donations to provide necessary living needs for the parents as they navigate any possible treatment & rehabilitation plans for our Juliana Grace.
