Hit And Run Funds - Joey Duong

On Sunday night November 18th I was involved in a car accident. While waiting for a red light to turn green I was rear ended by a pick up truck going about 30 miles an hour. The impact sent my car across three lanes from the end of the 76 West off ramp to the other side of High St. The driver fled the scene immediately without checking to see if I was ok. I immediately experienced neck and back pain and was taken by ambulance to Akron City Hospital for tests. There they cut my clothes off, poked and prodded me and touched me in places I only expect after a nice dinner. They did x-rays as well as ct scans. The scans came back negative for breaks but they did say there was some bruising around my spine as well as whiplash and a concussion. Right now I feel a lot of effects from the concussion and my back and neck are absolutely killing me. The driver who fled did not have insurance nor did they have a drivers license. The police did find them parked at the Village Inn and cited him for “hit and skip with an injury involved which is a felony charge. Now I have a long road of getting my car situation figured out, an unknown amount of hospital bills coming in (I do not have health insurance) and who knows what else may come with this. I am not asking nor do I expect much from this. Anything to help with my current and upcoming bills, getting my car fixed and life back in order would be graciously accepted. Thank you all so much.
