Larivee Family House Fire Fund

On Sunday, November 18, 2018, The Larivee Family had a fire in their home. Thankfully, they were not home. One of their Dalmatians, Ash, was in the basement
 where the fire started. She somehow managed to get herself out of her crate and to the second floor. Ash is being treated at a local veterinarian for smoke inhalation and is not out of the woods. The fire started in the basement and was put out fairly quickly but the smoke damage is throughout the entire house. It is unclear how long the repairs will take but could be anywhere from 6-9 months.
Matt and Heather are fantastic parents to Natalie (11) and Nathan (8). They are the kind of people who are always helping others. Matt is a St. Clair Shores Firefighter and Cub Scout leader. Heather is a Girl Scout leader and Treasurer of the PTC at Nathan’s school, Rodgers Elementary. These are just a few of the ways this family impacts our community. It is our turn to give back to them in their time of need. Matt and Heather are so grateful for the outpouring of support already shown to them. They are so thankful for the offers of clothes, bedding, supplies and more but it is all very overwhelming and they are worried about where they would store everything. A better way we an help them would be with gift cards to places like Walmart, Meijer, Target, Restaurants (dine in or takeout) and Camp Bow Wow (doggie daycare) so they can get what they need for right now.
