It's insanely dark in this tunnel!

TL ; DR I'm drowning and doing this all so I can keep my family safe/warm/fed.


It is somewhat ironic, and bittersweet, that I'm launching this on my birthday.

I've held my head up for too long, I'm worn out and feeling every single year, in triplicate, today.

No family to speak of or lean on, spouse's family has been tapped out before I even entered her life.

We're single income, in an expensive city, scrambling to quite literally stay alive. Little by little, over time, we've been nickel and dimed to this position.

I need help, I need your help.

I'm not asking for someone to buy me a drink on my birthday, or lunch, or any of those 'normal' things people do.  I'm asking that the funds that you may normally be willing to spend to treat someone on their birthday, be collated into a single place, so that I can put them to better use, preventing my family from homelessness, and making sure I can stop having to spin bill collector plates every single paycheck.

That total over there on the right, that would bail me out entirely, but every little helps.

So please, if there's an ounce of goodwill towards me or my family left in you after reading this, please, help me help them.
