Bobby Bowman's Fight to Win!

Friends and Family, we need your help.  Bobby Bowman was diagnosed with stage 4 Adenocarcinoma early 2018 from a biopsy in his neck.  The treatment plan was to have immediate surgery to remove the mass.  Doctors thought they could remove all the cancer based on the P.E.T. scan.  They removed a tumor and over 3lbs of cancer from Bobby’s neck, however they were only able to remove 95% of the cancer because it is wrapped around some vital nerves and arteries.  Although the surgery was only supposed to last two hours because of the location of some of the mass, it took almost 6 hours.

Once doctors knew they couldn’t remove all the cancer, they made a treatment plan of radiation.  Bobby underwent 35 treatments (5 days a week for 7 weeks).  The radiation treatments have caused huge side effects: massive weight loss (over 50lbs), unable to eat solid foods, loss of taste, ulcers in throat and unable to speak or swallow.

Now after several more expensive biopsies & scans of all kinds, we have been informed the cancer has spread to his spine, lungs, and lymph nodes in his chest.  It has also made its way into the nerves surrounding his spinal cord causing difficulty walking. 

Doctors are saying now that his life expectancy is now less than a year & a half.   We are currently on a clinical trial due Bobby's cancer being so rare.  We are thankful for that and have faith that it will help long term.  Only time will tell. 

Bobby is still in and out of the hospital just about weekly now. So Travel expenses are adding up.  He now has to have round the clock care.  He has to have 24 hour care.  The Medical Bills have now added up into 7 figure range at this point.  So obviously, any help monetarily we can get, would be HUGE for us.  I have had to take a medical leave and lose my job to give him that care.  We love Bobby and know you do to.  Any help for my husband and family is greatly appreciated. 

It’s a sad and frustrating thing, that in this extremely challenging time, Bobby must also contend with the financial reality of these treatments, recovery, and adaptation of life this cancer has caused.  The cost associated with fighting cancer can be devastating financially well into the seven-figure range, so please consider helping us raise $50,000 to help offset some of the cost including some of the following:
