Single mom

My husband and I have been foster parents for 4.5 years and for the first time we will witness reunification between a child and their parent. Over the years we have never seen a parent with so much strength and determination to regain custody of her children as this mother. With that being said, we are humbling ourselves and looking for a little help from our community for this single mother who has gotten out of a domestic abuse relationship.

We currently have her 5-year-old son who has been in foster care for 13 months. During our time with him, I have learned the power of a parent who wants nothing more than to have her children return home to her. This mother has completed everything in her case plan and deserves to be reunified with her 2 children. Until we came in the picture, her support was her mother and her caseworker. I can’t imagine having to overcome what she has had to plus figure out how to purchase a car along with all the other things that go into providing stability for children. The judge is expected to award custody of her children to her at the end of March. One thing that will be so helpful in her starting over and creating a better future for her children is a car. 

She does not have all the funds necessary to purchase a reliable vehicle. Her and I have created a plan to use the $4500 she will receive from income tax plus what we are personally able to give to get her setup (insurance included) in a vehicle. Please consider donating and being a small piece of a puzzle to heal a family and help a mother who fought to regain custody of her children with very little support and resources.

If donating financially isn’t something you feel comfortable with or just cannot do, we have also compiled a list of items she needs to complete the kids room for their return home along with miscellaneous items she does not have the funds to purchase. We also ask for this specific prayer:
