Supporting Suzanne

Suzanne, as all who love her dearly know, has found herself in an unexpected and unprecedented financial situation as she approaches an impressive milestone of 70 years in November. Suzanne inherited some money from her parents and their florist business when it was sold, and expected to be able to live on that for the rest of her life - but unexpected expenses with her mom’s health care and then not so great money management from someone she trusted, resulted in recently revealed alarming news: there are only 9.5 months left of that money to support her and she is still young, healthy and productive.

Suzanne owns her home in Mendocino, California outright with no debts. She is currently exploring the details of renting this desirable property to a traveling nurse for several months. She is also looking into the possibility of listing her home as a vacation rental during the prime tourist season. Some gracious friends have offered to let Suzanne stay with them during these times. Suzanne is also very active in furthering her painting talents through professional training and mentorship. She has been busy working as an artist, with increasing success selling her paintings through her website and a local gallery.

Suzanne needs about $2000 per month on top of her SS benefits and art sales. She just completed an extensive budget program to minimize her monthly living expenses to reach this number.

This GoFundMe campaign is to help Suzanne with her basic monthly expenses. The key point of this campaign is to help Suzanne supplement her rental, art sales, and social security income on a monthly basis. Our desire is to have as many of you who are willing and able to donate a comfortable sum each month. We feel this would benefit Suzanne the most as she has so many who love and care for her who have already asked how they could help. She has already received lots of advice and ideas from many of you and much of that is already being put into action. Thank you!
