Matthews Family Medical Expenses

Recently, Kathy Matthews was admitted into ICU for emergency surgery related to intestinal issues and a mass in her stomach.  The surgery went very well and she is doing incredible. Her husband Robert also recently suffered a stay in the hospital due to a diabetic setback. Kathy and Robert have two wonderful children and serve within the Hertford County School District. Kathy is a dedicated 1st grade Bearfield Primary School teacher and has never known a stranger. The Matthews family are the kindest and most caring people you could ever meet. They would give you the shirt off their backs. Due to recent hospital stays, medical bills and stress, have made healing tough. They need to spend their summer together with less stress and Kathy needs to focus solely on her recovery. This a great opportunity to give back to such an incredibly selfless family that does so much for others. 

These funds will be used to help pay many of Kathy and Robert's medical bills from recent hospital stays and gas to and from any future follow up appointments to access Kathy's progress.


We are incredibly blessed that Kathy's surgery was successful and Robert is strong and back at work.  Praise God!!
