Joes Journey

The Ault family has touched many lives in many different ways. They are always there to support their family, friends and loved ones. This is our turn to give to the family that has given so much to us.
On December 2nd, 2013 Joe Ault had a sudden onset of a very bad chest pain and his blood pressure went up to 200/130. He was taken by ambulance to the ER and his blood pressure was stabilized. While in the Emergency Room he became paralyzed from the chest down. They originally thought it was guillan barre, then they changed the diagnosis to transverse myelitis. He was transferred to Jackson Memorial in Miami and the final diagnosis was a spinal stroke or spinal infraction.
They discovered a pulmonary embolism and some internal bleeding before they were able to send him to the inpatient rehab facility he is currently at. He has been getting several transfusions a day. It has been a long road getting to where they are now and they have an even longer road ahead of them.
The Aults will be financially responsible for, among other things, continuing medical care and any medical accommodations to their 2 story home that may be necessary once Joe is able to come home.
Please help the family that has helped so many over the years!
