A big hello from The Backpack Movement!

 

This movement aims to provide children with fully equipped backpacks during moments of displacement as they get ready to start school away from the home they once knew.

 

We also aim to inspire others to set up this initiative locally and ultimately reach as many children as possible ❤️

 

For the moment, we are building backpacks 100% thanks to the kindness and generosity of our community & we now need your help!

 

We want to maximize the potential of this movement by working closely with shops and suppliers to be able to build even more backpacks!

 

Your donations will be used to:

 

1) Source material in bulk, allowing us to reach more children with the same contribution.

 

2) Scale our movement to answer international requests for donations and support.

 

At the end of 2019, it was reported that there were around 26 million refugees in the world. UNCHR and Save The Children say that more than half of those are children.

 

They also report that while millions of children worldwide witness and experience things we may never understand, they are resilient. ⭐️

 

Giving them opportunities to learn, play and explore new skills allows them to cope and draw strength from what’s around them.

 

Our movement aims to make this possible for more children around the world
