As a friend, I wanted to start this page to support Natalie as she starts the next phase of her battle against leukemia.  For way of background, I've included Natalie's summary of her most recent struggles.   Please consider donating to help them through this challenging time:

From Natalie:
I struggle with what to share or not share on Facebook but I decided I ultimately would rather you hear it from me than the rumor mill. It's my story so I should be the one to tell it right? (And Facebook keeps me from having to repeat myself) smile emoticon

So here it is. The trial I started in November didn't work. I came off of that drug two weeks ago and I found out yesterday that my disease has progressed to a more critical level. I knew my body was off this week and I had a feeling that was going to be the explanation. My team of doctors are trying to expedite me to start a new set of drugs tomorrow. I'll be at Emory first thing and will know better the plan then. A bone marrow transplant has also become a more real option if this drug set doesn't work. We will be checking the registry for donor matches and hope to identify a match.

If you believe in prayer, I ask that you lift my name and my body up in prayer. If you don't, I'll take your kind words, funny memes and good thoughts.

These are specific things you can talk to Jesus about:

1. Two weeks ago my white blood count was 8k which is normal, yesterday it was 144k which is very high. Pray that with these new drugs that number would fall and fall quickly.
2. With so much happening in my body I have very little energy and am weak, pray for strength and some energy.
3. On top of all this I have a bad ear infection that is aggravating me and making everything else worse- while I know it's just an ear infection it's driving me crazy. Pray that it goes away.
4. Pray for peace of mind and that I will be filled with verses of hope and encouragement, not fear.
5. Pray that a donor match would be found so if that becomes my only option then I have a match. Pray about you potentially registering to be a donor smile emoticon
6. Pray that I'll sort out all of my jobs and responsibilities- that I'll still be able to work- and that God would financially provide as these medical costs we are facing seem overwhelming.
7. Pray for Nathan and my girls- that we keep their routine the same and any stress on Nathan to a minimum.
8. Pray the I'll be able to handle the side effects of these new drugs. These are some bad mamajamas and while I need them to work I'm praying that my body can tolerate them.

I'd like to ask that you consider being a bone marrow donor...here's a link with more information: https://bethematch.org/support-the-cause/donate-bone-marrow/

Thank you all for so many prayers and kind words already. I pray that God uses me all the days of my life.

Much love,
Natalie
