Please Help With Rayauna's Medical Bills

Here we are 5 years down the road from when our vibrant 17-year-old was diagnosed with liver disease and it was determined that she would require a liver transplant. Rayauna has experienced so many ups and downs, affecting her life in ways we cannot even imagine. This past year, in particular, has been extremely frustrating, traumatizing and just plain scary; especially these last few months in which there have been so many hospital visits. She has experienced blood infections, fluid build-ups in her abdomen, excruciating pain, transfusions, inflammation, confusion...the list is endless.

She is currently in Loma Linda Medical Center's Transplant Wing and will soon be starting dialysis in preparation for the transplant. The "good" news is that the doctors hope to find a liver match within the next two weeks to make her transplant a reality. One of the biggest fears is that with all the confusion she is experiencing, it could become irreversible. So, they are doing everything possible to speed things up...Rayauna and her family are very hopeful.

Along with this good news, comes the reality that medical, transportation and miscellaneous charges are piling up. This is why we are creating a GoFundMe account for Rayauna. It isn't something we want to do; it is something we have to do. Rayauna's great-aunt, Cathy Escarcega, is creating the account and her mother, Barbara Melkonian, will be the trustee of the account.
