Hello all, and thank you so much for reading our story. Uncle Dave.. When you think of him, you think of someone with the kindest soul, a man who’s always making jokes, laughing, and simply just a man who doesn’t deserve the struggles he’s been dealt. It started in 2001, when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, he underwent radiation and chemotherapy, and he went into remission that same year, but only to be diagnosed again in 2008 with Hodgkin’s lymphoma a second time.. In 2009, he had to do a bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy, and radiation again, and he went back into remission until now.... May 2018, he was diagnosed with Melodysplastic syndrome, another form of cancer. He is undergoing a stem cell transplant, with my Aunt Carol being his donor. He will be in the hospital for 30 days this time. He does have insurance but he is responsible for 20% of his medical stay/procedures. They say this will be a 500,000 to 1,000,000 procedure; meaning many debts are soon to follow. My dad is an active member in our local community. And he is asking for assistance in any way possible. We will be holding a fundraiser after Christmas, the food will be donated by Primos’s ft Rudy’s broasted chicken and ribs. We are in need of donations for raffle baskets. Donations of any kind are also very much so appreciated. I want to thank everyone who has reached out to help, and know that any amount of a donation is very appreciated.
