Update 4/30: Sophie passed last night after 2am with her family and animal hospital staff. Without the hysterectomy, the Mappa's had about $6,000 in testing and small procedures done to find a diagnosis. Sophie was found to have a tumor and infection in her uterus. Please keep them in your prayers!

Update from the emergency vet: the estimated cost of Sophie's procedures, when they can get her stable, is $9-12,000.

Hi everyone! Our best friend Julie and her family are facing a hard decision today. Sophie Lynn, their 8 year old german shepherd, went in to get a procedure done and discovered she was internally bleeding. The Mappa's now have to make the decision to put her down or have a costly surgery that may give her the only chance at life.

If you know the Mappa's, they are an extremely hard working and humble family that won't ask for help!

Sophie has gotten them through the toughest of times. We are not only asking for donations to cover the costs of the risky surgery and antibiotics, but also prayers for their baby girl.
