Rescue the Rescue

Cuddle Cat Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit, no-kill shelter located in Hannibal, Missouri and established in 2017. We provide care to unwanted or abandoned cats and kittens in our area and find them forever homes. Our reach spans from Hannibal to Palmyra and Quincy. Businesses and out of town visitors bring cats and kittens they find to us for care when nobody else can take them.

We are surely not the first to say it’s been a rough year, but we have been struggling to keep up with our finances these last few months. Adoptions are lower than normal across the country, donations are being spent as soon as they are raised, and our intake requests are higher than ever. Right now, we do not have the funds to remain open through the end of the year.

Currently, it costs roughly $5,000 a month to care for our residents, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and medical expenses, and to pay our bills. The rescue solely depends on the generosity of our community for cat food, litter, cleaning supplies, and other items through donations and monetary gifts.

We need your help now more than ever! Our goal is to raise $20,000 so we can stay open through the rest of the year and start 2025 in a stable position.
