As you all may have heard Maria Galla lost her 18yo son Jake for reasons unknown at this time. What you may not know is that Maria was finally on the upswing of getting over medical issues she has been dealing with for the last few years and Jeff has been by her side 100% the entire time. Because of this they have been financially strapped for a while but you would never know it by the way they carry themselves.
Soni and Mikey Murray (who are also dealing with a loss) have graciously donated their club The Sound Check Bar & Grill for a benefit to help out the financial burden associated with a senseless tragedy such as this.
The benefit is going to be held on Sunday, September 13 starting at 3 PM.
Big thank you to everyone. Its overwhelming all the of the support being offered by everybody. Thank you!!!
Like I said earlier, Jeff and Maria have been having a difficult time these last few years but you would never know it by seeing them. They're always happy smiling and (as I know personally) are always willing to help to anyone that needs it. Well this time they need our help.
Jeff teaches drums 3 days per week plays 3-6 days per week and if that wasn't enough some bands actually rehearse (lol). He works his ass off to entertain people as well as help them too.
He's heartbroken over this but has to keep it together because Maria really needs him now more than ever.
In the music business there's no paid holidays no medical and for sure no Bereavement leave so that puts him in a very stressful position. Help your partner who you love and lose everything or keep working and not be there when she needs him most.
I'll be posting more as I work out details and I'm always open for suggestions and help. Message me.
