Nursing Abroad for Global Health

The finish line is so close after putting over 4 years into my graduate education. During this final year of my doctoral studies to become a Certified Nurse Midwife, I have an amazing opportunity abroad that will forever influence how I will provide care to women and families in my future practice.

I have received an outpour of support and encouragement from my friends and family. As I am no longer working full time, as to remain full time with my studies and clinicals, I was reluctant to also ask for financial support as well, but I am hoping you will consider this an investment in my career and a deposit toward the quality care I will provide to you, your mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends.

This upcoming year in 2019, I plan on traveling to:
-Belize for a 2-week service learning trip to provide primary healthcare to women and children. This trip will take place in March, 2019. 

-Washington, D.C. to attend the American College of Nurse Midwives Annual Meeting and Board Review Course. This trip will take place in May, 2019. 

Donations will go toward paying for:

-Travel and airfare

-Lodging

-Registration and tuition fees

-Clinic supplies

I appreciate any and all support. I am so excited to start the next step in my career. I am set to graduate in May, 2019 (Just think of it as a graduation gift). I strive to be an excellent midwife and want to take advantage of every learning experience possible to make that a reality.
