Walk a Mile in Our Shoes

Members of Reading Mencap will be taking part in Reading Mencap's 'Walk a Mile in Our Shoes' event during Learning Disability Week. On Wednesday 19 June, they will be walking 1 mile around Forbury Gardens to raise awareness of learning disabilities.

Your donation will help Reading Mencap to provide vital information, advice and casework to people with a learning disability and their families, who are impacted by the cost-of-living and social care crises.

94% of adults with learning disabilities who use Reading Mencap's services said that Reading Mencap had made their lives better.

Reading Mencap's vision is for people with a learning disability to lead fulfilling, safe and happy lives, with more opportunities to participate in their local community.
