Veronica’s Recovery Fund ~ Update

Dear family and friends,

It has been over four years since Veronica was first diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and right heart failure due to ASD. It is a disease that affects the heart and lungs and does not have a cure. It has been a very long journey for her, and she has been staying so incredibly strong through it all.

Veronica was transported from Santa Rosa to UCSF on Saturday, August 12th, and is currently on life support as her heart is no longer beating on its own. While we are all devastated, we believe in the power of prayer and that miracles do happen. Our family has come together and we are united as she has been put on the donor list to receive a heart and double lung transplant. Veronica is an absolute warrior. She is holding on and is surrounded by so much love.

Her road to recovery will be a long one. Once she receives her heart and double lung transplant, she will need 24/7 care and to be within 30 miles of UCSF. My sister, Jennifer, Veronica's loving mom will be her primary caregiver and will need to stay with her in the SF area for at least two months after the surgery. I am reaching out to family and friends, near and far to ask for support for our beautiful Ronnie girl.
