Hello Everyone,
I usually don't post things like this, but I have a lot of people supporting me and telling me that I need to get a medical procedure done soon. I have been told by several to start the GOFUNDME account to get some help with it. I am just trying to meet the deductible I need to pay to get my procedure done for Heart Stent replacement. I have been to the Cardiologist here in Las Vegas and the insurance will not cover it until the deductible is meet, so basically I pay $3000.00 for the whole complete procedure.
Here is the story behind what is going on.
In 2005 I was attending Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. I was a happy person at that time, achieving my goals of completing college and having a degree that I can show for it. it was my second semester there and I was living in the college dorms at the time until I could find some adequate housing for myself.
I knew from a child I had some medical issues and found out more about something when I was on my own not living at home. I set up a Dr. Consult at Mercy Clinic in Springfield for a routine follow up to some Blood Pressure issues and a few other things. The Dr I was seeing said he wanted to refer me to a Cardiologist at that time due to some blood work results and some issues he could hear with my heart. So I scheduled and as you all know with specialist it is a wait sometimes to get into the appointments.
While waiting the days I has to wait to get in, I just took what medication I was taking daily and continuing on with things, Yes I was worried but I was trying to focus on better things in life and keep my mind off things. One morning I got up to go to class, got ready and got all my things together I needed for the day so I didn't have to go back to my room. My class was all the way on the other side of the campus and I knew I had time to walk there, I always used to love to walk.
Well that’s when the worse thing ever happened to me, I walked, but do not remember ever getting to class or anything after that. I had come to in the Hospital. I was panicked and didn’t know what was happening. No one there with me but a nurse. I was told the fluid around my heart caused a mild heart attack. I was so scared and was so far away from anyone close to me. The nurse wanted to know who to call and it was my Grandmother, she got the call and I got to talk to her some, but she got in her car and drove the 5 hours to be with me. At this time I knew Travis, he was called by me as well but with his schooling could not come see me, but he did when he had time.
I underwent surgery at that time and had a heart stent put in. It was a very scary situation for me.
Since then in the past years I have been okay, still some issues on and off and then in 2012/2013 I progressively started having seizures. (One bad one that almost killed me ) (Picture attached)

Since then I have had excellent care from several doctors and been doing okay and managing.
In the last 6 months I have just not been feeling right, trouble breathing, sleeping, chest and leg pains. I was told by several tests that have been done, my stent needs to be replaced. YES this is a simple procedure but they’re concerned with my underlying medical conditions. I have several issues I take about 18 pills a day for, some not cheap that I pay for monthly.
So ANY help to meet the deductible would be grateful for Travis and I so we can make sure I get the care I need to continue to be successful in life.
Thanks Everyone!
