Hi, my name is Hannah Squire, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story.
I think we can all agree that we have experienced a time in our lives where life gets a little bit too much. Whether you have experienced, social isolation because bullying created loneliness, having to watch the ones you love battle incurable Illness, holding the heavy weight of concurring grief, the unexpected redundancies that leaves you feeling lost, the draining expectation of lifting those around you but battling the overwhelming thoughts in your head or the vulnerability that comes from having to create a new life for yourself.
Regardless of the situation you find yourself in, the uncertainty of not knowing where your life will take you, with these heavy thoughts can be extremely consuming for a day-to-day life.
Not all of us, are in a position to have family and friends around to support our time of need. The idea of speaking openly about our struggles can portray a stigma of weakness, which leaves many to suffer in silence. You are never alone.
For me, running has allowed me to have a calmer state of mind, a way to focus on one thing, challenge my capabilities and increase productivity. With this, it's my absolute pleasure to raise money towards a charity close to my heart. I will be running Hampton Half Marathon on the 22nd of March 2026. I Would be highly grateful and appreciative if you could get involved.
