In 2015 my wife Sherry was diagnosed with a very rare neuromuscular disease called Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) and her new neurologist has added Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS) as a secondary diagnosis. She is no longer able to walk and symptoms include pain, spasms, and muscle rigidity. Also this progression has her on a special diet as she has trouble swallowing and often speaking.
We are asking for help with our medical bills as we wait for a new wheelchair, hoping it will restore some of Sherry's independence and mobility, and preserve her dwindling energy. She wants to see her friends’ shows most of all! But the big wheelchair will also most likely mean that a reliable van is in our future, so we’re just in a new place, a few years earlier than we expected.
We have felt so much love from our friends and will always look for ways to pay forward.
