Campfire Family In Need Of Help
Donation protected
We are the Owen family, live in Magalia Ca - we have hardly anything left. We just like everyone else probably paid their rent and first months. We have gone to donation centers giving out clothing and are just now in the need for food items and gas. I got some scrubs from friends. My husbands work in Paradise Ace Rentals burnt down to nothing - I’m not sure what our plan is now for our future. I’m sorry for those who have lost family members in fire. My husband hardly made it out - he said goodbye to me. I haven’t prayed so hard in my life for him and my son to make it to me safely in Chico. My heart dropped as I saw what looked like a explosion from afar. There was nothing I could do. His truck has a lot of damage. This is truly a sad and emotional experience. Our town and everything we knew is now gone. Paradise hills look like nothing but black for miles. My mind is blown. Our son is five - he got saved from my friend who lost everything. Lots of children had to go through lots of trauma to get out. He went to Ponderosa school which is in bad shape. The fire spread so fast that the news to come get the kids from school was almost too late the traffic was insane. I’m not sure what our plan is for him to go. We are keeping his mind busy and trying to all stay sane. Lots to figure out with little money. Anything would help. Time will heal all wounds. I wish time could pause if even for a moment. We could all use some good healing time. Prayers to people out there in worse situations than us. In tents on the street, homeless, without family or friends, or even who have to stay in shelters. Hopefully nobody will every have to go through this again and for those of you who haven’t I would never wish this upon anyone. I’m not going to lie it will be hard to bounce back, but our family will stay strong.
