This is my sister Janet and my brother Sean Ballard. They just lost their home as a result of the Paradise Fires in Northern California. They woke to bright orange skies and ashes thick in the air. There was no time to think. No time to gather photos. No important documents. Fiery trees were falling in their wake as they fought for their lives to escape. Their home is burned to the ground. They had little savings. Their livelihood destroyed as Sean was a real restate agent, centered in Paradise. Now there is no Paradise. My sister is alive. My brother is alive. My nephew is alive.
