Help Fund a Heart for Dorothy

Dorothy Mayes, is a loving friend, wife, mother, nana, sister, and aunt who is always willing to help anyone. We are now asking for your help and prayers in her time of need.

After surviving breast cancer 24 years ago, Dorothy was told the ChemoTherapy medication used to treat her breast cancer caused significant damage to her heart, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) and she now faces another life-altering diagnosis.

Being diagnosed with Congestive Heart failure is one thing, but finding out that you need to get back to some form of normality is heartbreaking!

During the last 6 months, she has had numerous hospital stays, tests, and treatments. A Hickman line was placed as a bridge to a heart transplant. She started the heart transplant evaluation process in March 2021 and has now been placed on the heart transplant list.

The process has been very expensive with many doctor visits, prescriptions, medical equipment, and procedures that have not all been covered by health insurance.

Prayers and donations will be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will be used to cover current and future medical expenses, loss of income, transportation, and convalescent care.
