Hi everyone,

In July 2023, beloved father, husband, brother and friend, Charlie, as everyone knows and loves him, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer. This year has been especially difficult for our family emotionally, mentally and financially. As the patriarch of our family, our world came crumbling down along with his diagnosis. It’s difficult to accept this is our reality. We began chemotherapy as soon as possible and in the beginning, everything went smoothly. Tumors shrank before our eyes. Unfortunately, in December of 2023, everything took a left turn and his body stopped responding to the chemotherapy. We changed treatments and still, his tumors grew. Charlie is a warrior and this battle is nowhere near done. As a family, we took the decision to try other methods of treatment as our last resort. This treatment has shown to be effective in improving quality of life and give him the strength his body needs to continue fighting. We refuse to see him suffer and know in our hearts this treatment is exactly what he needs. Anyone who knows Charlie knows how loving, supportive, resilient and brave he is. His energy is contagious and all who know him love him. We appreciate any and all of your help in assisting us with Charlie’s medical bills. May you all be showered with an abundance of blessings and health. Keep him in your prayers and again, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your help in supporting Charlie’s fight against cancer.

Como muchos ya saben, en julio del 2023, Charlie, fue diagnosticado con cancer pancreático en etapa 4. Este año 2024 ha sido para nosotros muy difícil tanto emocional, mental , como económicamente. El mundo se nos vino encima con su diagnóstico y con la aceptación de esta terrible enfermedad. Empezamos las quimioterapias tan pronto como pudimos y todo iba marchando bien. Los tumores disminuyeron con rapidez pero en diciembre del 2023 todo tomó un rumbo inesperado y el cuerpo de Charlie dejó de responder a los tratamientos y los tumores crecieron terriblemente. Tuvimos que cambiar la quimioterapia buscando alternativas para mejorar que en el transcurso su cuerpo se ha debilitado al punto de no poder continuar los tratamientos a no ser que mejore y recupere por lo menos su energía y su capacidad para tolerar los medicamentos. Hemos buscado otras alternativas pero el costo es muy elevado y contamos en este momento con la cantidad que el tratamiento exige. No podemos dejarlo sufrir sabiendo el gran ser humano que es Charlie y lo querido que es por todos. Por este motivo pedimos su ayuda para poder cubrir los gastos médicos y agrademos ante mano toda su ayuda, oraciones y su colaboración. Gracias
