Help my girl get her life changing surgery!!

Donation protected
This is the last thing i was ever going to do as i thought i was super mum and could manage it alone, turns out i cant and im asking for help for my baby girl Dakota.

Dakota was born september 2022, 2 years old, full of cheek, sass but also full of so much love and laughter!!! Life has taken some very unexpected turns the last few weeks which has left dakota without her daddy. Her daddy was supposed to be helping fund dakotas surgery.

Dakota was born with a very rare birth defect, it’s called ‘ bladder extrophy’ which means her bladder developed inside out and protrudes through the lower abdomen wall. Most cases the bladder cant hold urine and appears on the outside of a babys belly. The condition occurs early in fetal development when the abdominal wall doesnt fully form leaving the pubic bones seperated. Surgery is the only treatment for this.

we have been awaiting this surgery since she was born. There is only 2 places that perform this surgery. They have placed us in the care of Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital.

They only contacted me and gave 4 weeks notice to this sugery so now im having to scramble the funds together as they dont provide anything the first week until Dakota is admitted fully to the ward on her surgery date which is the 23rd june.

Dakota will undergo major surgery, which will include reconstruction surgery, they will place a metal plate inside her pelvis due to the fact she has a 7cm gap which is bigger than the average bladder extrophy patient. This will be placed in for life. She will also have a metal brace/frame to keep her still and to pin her hips. She will be in manchester for 4-8 weeks laid flat on her back depending how well she recovers. Once home we still have rehabilitation for dakota to gain the strength to walk again.

From the 18th june to the 23rd june Dakota will have daily appointments at the hospital to do all preop, tests and assesments before the big operation on the 23rd. we have to provide our own accommodation/food/ fuel aswell as keep every bill paid at home. Until Dakotas admitted and only then can we apply for the ronald mcdonald hotel and its not a guarantee.

Any donations even as little as a pound will go a very long way and will be so greatfully appreciated!!! Please help my baby girl ♥️
