42K against cancer

This year, I’ve decided to run my first marathon.

Not just for the physical challenge, but for something much deeper.

A few months ago, my girlfriend was diagnosed with cancer. Nothing prepares you for that, especially when it touches someone you love so deeply. Since then, life has changed in ways we never expected. We’ve faced fear, uncertainty, and exhaustion but also courage, strength, and an incredible sense of love and resilience.

Sporting has become a way for me to cope, to clear my mind, and to feel in control when so much feels out of our hands. That’s why I have decided to dedicate my marathon at the end of this year to her and to everyone affected by this terrible disease.

Exactly six months from today, I’ll be on the starting line of the marathon in Florence (30.11.2025).

Until then, I’ll be training step by step, with one goal in mind: raising funds for cancer research and helping science move one step closer.

I’m raising money for Kom op tegen Kanker (www.komoptegenkanker.be) because I believe in a future where fewer people have to face what we’re going through. Every euro raised will go directly to fund research that can lead to better treatments, more hope, and more time with the people we love.
