We answered an add on Craigslist for an 8 week old Australia Shepherd mix puppy. I replied to the add and adopted this beautiful sweet tiny little girl. The person who posted the add said they found her in the parking lot abandoned. She was malnourished and nothing but bones. She was so very friendly and loving though. After we got her home she settled right in and our1 year old Aussie just fell in love with his new little sister. We were told that Marley might be a Catahoula breed and not an Australian Shepard mix. We didn't care what she is or mixed with we fell in love!!!
Marley started presenting symptoms that looked like parvo. She had explosive watery diarrhea and it smelled horrible. She would poop every time we took her out and it was just water squirting out of her little bottom. We all know puppies are high energy dogs but Marley just wanted to sleep. She would just lay down and sleep. At 3am on 4-19-2016 I was woke up to the sound of her throwing up all her food she had tried to eat earlier. After she threw up she wouldn't drink any water or eat. We already had an appointment for her to be seen for her vaccines but instead she was tested for parvo at South Ridge Veterinary hospital and tested positive for parvo. The vet said she would need to stay at the vet to be treated with IV medicin and fluids. Her stay so far is $400 that we paid today. Each additional day is an extra $100. This little girl is only 8-9 weeks old and so far was abandoned and left in a parking lot. We just want the chance to show her what love is and that she will never be left alone again. That she will be loved for the rest of her life.
We don't financially have the means to keep her in the hospital for an extended stay. We have maxed out our care credit card and we don't qualify for an increase. We are just asking for any help that your willing to give. Even if just a $1. Anything will help us get her the care she needs and give her a fighting chance to live a full life.
