Saddat Abbas, a longtime associate and beloved finance leader at The Home Depot, passed away last week from respiratory complications stemming from a chemotherapy associated with a reoccurrence of cancer, an issue he had battled for the past 5 years.

We have been truly blessed to have had Saddat apart of the Home Depot family for the past 19 years. Saddat has had a tremendous impact on countless individuals at Home Depot, as well as the organization with his thoughtful nature, caring leadership style and intellectual. Consistent with his faith, Saddat's services quickly followed his passing, and he was laid to rest last Tuesday surrounded by his family, faith community and a strong contingent of Home Depot associates.

Several of you have inquired about donating money and resources to help Saddat’s family through this difficult time. As such, we have established a GoFundMe account for to support his family; however, there is absolutely no obligation to give.

All donations from the GoFundMe will go directly to Saddat’s wife, Aquella, on behalf of his Orange-blooded family and will be used to support an education fund for his daughter, Aazeen.
