Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to visit this page. Bahar and I (Dilla) are here trying to raise funds for our beloved friend and sister, Irene, to help her fight breast cancer.
Irene is a beautiful and an amazing mother, wife, aunt, sister and friend. She’s currently living in Glendale, CA with her husband and two sons. Her oldest son is going to college in the fall of this year, while her youngest is a sophomore in high school.
Irene was diagnosed with breast cancer last December, she has been attending lots of consultations and appointments to discuss her diagnosis and treatment, which she has paid hefty out of pocket fees for.
She will undergo her mastectomy and breast reconstructive surgery on the 12th of January. Her insurance has approved for mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, however we already expecting huge out of pocket fees.
Unfortunately we don’t know how long she be in hospital for, exactly what medication she will be on after and for how long, or how much of it her insurance will cover.
On top of that she will need physical therapy to get readjusted to using her arms once healed as well as in-home care nurse who could help with re-doing the dressings and emptying out the drainage sacks.
Sadly last July, Irene’s left ear went deaf and she will also need to get cochlear implant surgery once she’s recovered from the cancer.
We are hoping to raise 10,000 USD to pay for the additional medical expenses that are not covered by her insurance.
Irene is the most beautiful, thoughtful, kind and caring person you will ever meet. Irene is a wonderful person who’s always there for you no matter what time of the day or night, she can help you rationalise any situation and calm you down so you can see the bigger picture. She is always there for everyone, no matter who it is or what they need and we want to be able to be there for her during this difficult time.
