Support for Sammy

On March 4th we received a call that Sam had taken a hard fall off of a second story roof, landing almost 30 feet down onto the ground. He was rushed to the hospital where they determined he had broken his right wrist and hip, and he had an open fracture on his left knee. His face was also fractured due to the fall. He went through multiple surgeries in order to begin his recovery. He is currently being transported to a rehab facility after a 4 day hospital stay.

It may take months for Sam to begin walking again, and getting back to work will take even longer than that. The timeline is unclear. After rehab, he will be required to undergo physical therapy at home until he is able to return to his normal life.

Although Sam’s medical bills will be covered by insurance, the money he will receive from workman’s comp may not cover all of the expenses in regards to his continued care as well as rent, utilities, car expenses and other bills that we will need to stay on top of while he is unable to work. Our goal is to allow Sam as much time as possible to commit to recovering without added financial stressors.

We hope that Sam will be back to the things he loves in due time- drumming, fishing, and spending time with his loved ones. Any help is immensely appreciated as we navigate this long and difficult road ahead. All proceeds raised will help make Sam’s difficult recovery a little easier. Thank you!!
