Hello everyone, I hope this message finds you well. My name is Allison, and I find myself in a situation that has completely turned my life upside down in a matter of weeks. It all started on June 28th, early Saturday morning around 4/5am when I found myself at the ER once more due to extreme abdominal pain and passing golf ball-sized blood clots. The journey from that point has been a challenging one, but I am determined to overcome it in any way possible.
After experiencing excruciating pain and undergoing numerous tests, I was diagnosed with Adenosquamous Carcinoma of the cervix, stage 2b, just two weeks after my 30th birthday. The mass is as big as my entire uterus, which explains a lot of the discomfort I have had and still have. This aggressive cancer has left me in unbearable pain, making simple activities like walking through a store, cooking dinner for my family, or even just taking care of the garden or all of our animals very difficult. I am currently on an intensive pain management program after being in the ER multiple times and facing a daunting treatment plan that includes six weeks of radiation followed by four weeks of chemotherapy. These treatments will not only take a toll on my body but also bring significant financial challenges. I have to obtain a walker, a cane, and a bath transition bench, with those just being the beginning of material items. Once I start radiation on September 18th, I must take a 360 on my diet and how I take care of myself as well. On top of it all, I have no other option than to have people take me to ALL of my appointments. I have no way to take myself to these appointments even if I could. All of the medications have me falling asleep sitting up and feeling sick at a moment's notice.
I come to you humbly asking for your support during this difficult time. The expenses have already begun to accumulate, and I am facing an exorbitant amount of already over $10,000. This amount doesn't even cover the upcoming radiation, chemo, and prescription costs. Your contributions will not only help alleviate the current financial burden but also ensure that I have the support and care I need from my partner, Rick, during my treatment. His unpaid leave from work for my chemotherapy is necessary for my recovery, and I am reliant on his assistance for various aspects of my care. He helps cook and clean for me, along with my bathing and other personal things.
I never imagined that I would find myself in such a position, but I am determined to fight through this and emerge victorious. I am also committed to regaining my health and seeing my nephew graduate college, starting further education for myself, and continuing to be the best aunt I can be to all my family. Your support, whether it's through sharing my story, offering encouraging words, or making a donation, means the world to me. I truly believe that with your help, I can overcome this obstacle and look forward to a brighter future. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering how you can make a difference in my journey to recovery. Your kindness and generosity are deeply appreciated. ♥️
