Move mountains for Max

We may never know why Max, Father, Brother, friend, chose to leave this world as he did. The pain of losing a loved one runs deep; deeper when you find out they were chasing demons and felt that there was no one or nothing to live for. He so loved the sea, fishing, boating, he shared this passion with so many, he gave his heart o so many in the things he did for them, without the expectation of anything in return, his reward came in seeing the laughter and joy from sharing with others.
He was so proud of his son Max II. He beamed with pride when he spoke of him, his love for him was true, but despite his love for his son, decisions he made will have a long-lasting effect on Max II. Its not just the question of why; it is also why he left him with such a financial burden, one no 29 year who has lost his father so tragically should have to bare. We cannot change this fact, but we can try to assist Max II in the next long leg of his journey.
All of us affected by this have so many feelings, loss, doubt, grief, anger, guilt, numbness, emptiness, sadness, shock, and the most lingering of all the why and what could I have done. So today, I make a pact with myself, one that I hope and pray I can keep, and when I fail, forgive myself and start again. I will focus on remembering the joy, the laughter, the silliness, all the good times we shared, all the times we held one another up to make it through the day. I will not allow myself to be consumed with the “What Ifs and If Only” these thoughts will only bring us pain. I chose to be filled with the memories of happier days, fishing, camping and boating in the Thousand Islands; firework displays that could rival any town display each year, wherever Max was. His excitement and joy at buying his first house for his family, his pride in the work he did to make it his. I chose to remember the love
Many friends, family and co-workers have asked -what can we do for you? Nothing for me, anything you can do would be greatly appreciated as a contribution to the reduce the debt that Max II will repay over the next months to close out the business, yes, he is responsible, the business and license were in his name, not his dad’s. It is for this reason that we have established this Go Fund Me account to allow Max II to do the same, to remember his father and the memories they shared, that only a father and son can share. Big Max, we will miss you…Max II I am so proud of the man you have become. My love for you will never fade, I will be there for you today and all of the tomorrows to come.
