On September 29th, our mom was rushed by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri due to a sudden abdominal emergency that required immediate surgery. While we are not yet ready to share all the details, she spent nearly a week in the ICU and faces ongoing treatment for the next 4–6 months.

As of today (October 8th), she remains hospitalized, working hard to rebuild her strength, combat infection, and participate in physical and occupational therapy with the dedicated Lake Regional staff. My sister and I have created this GoFundMe to support our parents as disability and FMLA are processed, and to help offset the medical expenses that lie ahead.

Our family is deeply grateful to everyone who has reached out, donated PTO, or kept us in your thoughts and prayers. We will continue to share updates on her progress as she feels ready to share her journey to recovery.
