Hi, my name is Kennedy,

I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. On Friday, September 26th, my world changed forever. My dad, my biggest supporter, passed away unexpectedly. Losing him has left a hole in our hearts that I’m still struggling to put into words. He was the kind of dad who always showed up for me. He was there whenever and wherever I needed him.

I’m currently a Senior at Tulane University, working toward my degree in Environmental Studies. My dad worked tirelessly to help me stay in school and chase a future that he knew I was capable of, a future he never got to finish seeing.

My family has been left heartbroken and overwhelmed financially due to the unexpectedness of my father’s death. My mom is doing her best as she has always done.

I’ve worked so hard to get here, and it being my final year of college it is more important now than ever to graduate as my dad would’ve wanted me to do. I’m reaching out, humbly and with so much vulnerability, to ask for help, any amount, so I can continue the journey that my dad believed in so much. Every donation will go directly toward my tuition, books, and living expenses. If you can’t give, sharing this means a lot to me.
