Recently, on December 22nd, 2015, the local radio station “X1039 The IE’s Alternative Rock” changed formats. Unfortunately, the change in formats left veteran Inland Empire's DJ Daryl “Dirty D” James without a place to do his nightly broadcast in over 17 years. Dirty D has been a staple in the IE radio scene for over 22 years. Due to the urging of the local music community Dirty D has decided to build and run a 24/7 local online radio station which will be called “Dirty Radio”. This new online station will fill the void of X1039 and bring back favorites such as “Xtreme X” and “10 O'Clock Tool”. It will also include many new features such as new programming, a nightly local band show, mobile broadcasting, a larger variety of music, up to date music news, and so much more.
Daryl said “I’m excited for this opportunity. It’s been a lifelong dream for station ownership and this will allow me to use all my creativity to program “Dirty Radio” with no restrictions.” This radio station will be available to the community with a digital signal 24 hours a day 7 days a weeks. “Technology is continuing to change and I’m ready to embrace it.” You may listen on the Dirty Radio App that will be compatible with Android or iPhone, and the online station will also be available on our website as well.” Stay tuned for our station launch date, app download, and be on the lookout for our website. Also, you will be able to find us on Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
We are urging the music community to pull together and support us by using social media and word of mouth. We appreciate anything you can do to help make this dream come true and we look forward to building “Dirty Radio” together with the Inland Empire's help and support. We are ready to make radio history in 2016!
