Janice Fulk’s Funeral Expenses

On Thursday evening (October 25th, 2018), Janice was at her home in Vestavia with her husband (Allen) and mother (sweet “MiMi”) when she suddenly suffered what we would later learn was a ruptured brain aneurism. She was taken by ambulance to Brookwood Medical Center, where a CT scan revealed that the aneurism had ruptured at the base of her brainstem, making it inoperable. Thursday started out perfectly normal for Janice—she spent the day playing with her grandchildren, driving to get dinner and loving on her family. She was happy, healthy and content. As we all know, life can change in an instant. Janice is currently in the SICU at Brookwood Medical Center, surrounded by her friends and family. The most recent CT scan revealed that the damage and swelling have progressed up her brainstem. She is on a ventilator, and has slipped quietly into a coma. The doctors and nurses are taking it minute-by-minute, and we are calling all prayer warriors to take a moment and pray fiercely for Janice, and for her family. Pray for healing, pray for comfort, and pray for understanding. At this time, we don’t know what the next few days may hold. We do know, however, that Janice does not have funeral or life insurance. We are starting this fund to cover:1. The time/pay Allen will miss from work while he remains by his wife’s bedside. This will help the family cover care, utilities, rent and transportation. 2. Any medical expenses that accrue.In the event that the Lord calls Janice home, the money will be used to pay for her funeral costs. When she loves, she loves with all her heart. She is a caring wife to her husband, Allen. She is a wonderful mother to her two daughters, Heather and Allison. One of her greatest joys is being “GiGi” to her grand babies, Alexandria (2) and Bailey (8 months). She loves the Lord with all her heart, and worships Him with her church family at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church (VHBC). Janice is a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will quite literally give you the food from her plate or the shirt off her back. If you know her, then you love her. She needs us now more than ever—to pray for her and to take care of her family while she is unable to.
